Virtual Colonography

Virtual Colonography is an advanced type of computed tomography (CT) scanning used to obtain an interior view of the colon that can ordinarily only be seen with an endoscope inserted into the rectum. This new test provides three-dimensional images that can show many polyps and other lesions as clearly as when they are directly seen by optical colonoscopy, but is minimally invasive and much more comfortable for patients.
